FORT LAUDERDALE & BROWARD COUNTY

The Weekender

Your curated guide to the best events this week
☀️ WEEK OF MARCH 14 - 20, 2026 🌊

Hey Weekender 👋

MindTravel lands in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday, a live piano concert played through wireless headphones, right on the sand. Around it, the week stacks up: The Black Crowes and Whiskey Myers Saturday at Hard Rock, Stewart Copeland talking and playing at the Amaturo, FATVillage Art Walk taking over Flagler, and Friday Night Sound Waves opening its 10-year anniversary season on the beach. Plenty to choose from.

The One Thing

⭐ The One Thing

MindTravel Live-to-Headphones Piano Concert

A grand piano on the sand, a sunset, and a hundred-plus pairs of wireless headphones, that's the whole concept, and it lands harder than it has any right to. Composer Murray Hidary plays an unbroken improvised set while the audience listens in silent unison on the beach, eyes open or closed, no chatter, no clinking glasses. It's the rarest thing this week: a concert that feels nothing like a concert. One night only.
