Broward County Farmers & Artisan Markets: The Complete Local Guide
Broward County has more recurring outdoor markets than most locals realize — and the quality gap between them is wide. Some run every single week year-round. Some only show up from November through April. A handful skip the morning format entirely and run Friday and Thursday evenings instead. This guide covers all of them: the Saturday staples, the neighborhood gems, and the night markets worth building a plan around.

The Marquee Markets (Year-Round, Weekly)
The MKT at Las Olas Oceanside Park — Fort Lauderdale Beach
Every Saturday, 9am–5pm. Free entry.
This is the one. The MKT at Las Olas Oceanside Park runs year-round at the corner of Las Olas and A1A, with the Atlantic Ocean as the backdrop and a rotating lineup of vendors selling fresh produce, artisan cheese, baked goods, handmade jewelry, plants, and global food. A Yoga by Donation class kicks things off at 9:45am on the lawn, which makes for a full morning at the beach before you've spent a dollar on anything. It's won consecutive Best of Fort Lauderdale Magazine Silver Awards. Dog-friendly, walkable from the beach parking garages, and reliably worth the trip.

Yellow Green Farmers Market — Hollywood
Every Saturday & Sunday, 10am–6:30pm. Free entry; parking $15.
The undisputed heavyweight of South Florida markets. Yellow Green operates out of a 100,000+ square foot covered facility in Hollywood with anywhere from 300 to 600 vendor booths depending on the day. This is less a farmers market and more a full culinary destination — Venezuelan, Peruvian, Caribbean, vegan, local honey, produce, handmade crafts, clothing, and live music, all under one roof. Running since 2010, it's earned its reputation as a weekend institution for all of Broward County. Rain-proof by design. Dog-friendly.

Plantation Farmers Market at Volunteer Park — Plantation
Every Saturday, 9am–2pm. Free entry and free parking.
West Broward's most consistent weekly market, backed by the City of Plantation itself and running for over a decade. The focus here is produce over crafts — certified organic and conventional fruits and vegetables, locally produced honey, orchids, tropical plants, fresh-cut flowers, breads, olive oils, and cheeses. It's a neighborhood market in the best sense: loyal weekly crowd, no pretension, and enough variety to justify the trip. Wednesday evenings at the same park bring a separate food truck market from 5–9pm. Family and pet friendly.
Tamarac Community Farmers Market — Tamarac
Every Sunday, 9am–2pm. Free entry and free parking.
Don't sleep on this one. The Tamarac market runs 52 Sundays a year with no seasonal hiatus, and the vendor mix is genuinely eclectic: fresh produce, European pastries from JW Pastry, Indian street food from Nisha's Flavors of India, local honey, pickles and vinegars, BBQ, candles, soaps, and jewelry. Run by Community Farmers Markets of South Florida — the same network behind the Plantation Saturday market — it delivers consistent quality in a low-key format. Easy parking off University Drive. Family friendly.

Broward Health Imperial Point Farmers Market — North Fort Lauderdale
Every Thursday, 10am–3pm. Free entry and free parking.
The 954's only mid-week market option worth knowing about. Set in the parking lot of Broward Health Imperial Point on Federal Highway, this Thursday market is compact but consistent: artisan foods, local honey, pet treats, prepared foods, and BBQ. Not a destination market — more of a solid weekday errand if you're already in the neighborhood. Dog-friendly and genuinely convenient for the north Fort Lauderdale corridor.

Sunny Side Up Market at MASS District — Fort Lauderdale
2nd & 4th Sundays, 12pm–4pm. Free entry and free parking.
The market that fits the neighborhood. Sunny Side Up sets up in the heart of Fort Lauderdale's MASS Arts District — surrounded by murals, galleries, and bars — and brings exactly the right energy: local artisans, handmade goods, vintage finds, farm fresh eggs, sourdough, food trucks, live music, and occasional pet adoptions. Yoga and mimosas at 11am before the market officially opens. Over 1,000 visitors per event, a passionate following, and an atmosphere that spills naturally into the surrounding district. If you've never been to the MASS District on a Sunday, this is the right reason to start. Dog-friendly.

Seasonal Markets (November Through April or May)
Green Market Pompano Beach — Pompano Beach
2nd & 4th Saturdays, 9am–1pm. November through April. Free entry.
One of Broward's best-curated seasonal markets, hosted at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center on West Atlantic Boulevard. The vendor lineup covers fresh and organic produce, artisanal juices, baked goods, honey, seafood, orchids, handmade crafts, and wellness products — with free yoga at 9am, kids' crafts at 10am, and live music running throughout. The programming around the market is as good as the market itself, which makes it a reliable full-morning plan for the whole family. The 2025–26 season runs November through April.
City of Parkland Farmers' Market — Parkland
Alternating Sundays (bi-weekly), 9am–1pm. November through April. Free entry.
One of the largest outdoor farmers' markets in all of Broward County, set on the grounds of the Parkland Equestrian Center — which gives it a genuine country-in-the-city feel you won't find elsewhere in the 954. Ninety-plus vendors span organic and conventional produce, fresh pasta, artisan cheeses, gourmet foods, honey, jams, and pet products. Themed markets throughout the season add rotating variety. Dog-friendly (leashed), lots of parking, and an easy North Broward day trip.

Lauderdale-by-the-Sea Farmers Market — Lauderdale-by-the-Sea
Sundays, 9am–1pm. December through May. Free entry.
A quiet one, and that's exactly what makes it work. The LBTS market runs Sunday mornings at El Prado Park — a few blocks from the beach in one of Broward's most walkable towns — under the Community Farmers Markets of South Florida umbrella. Produce, artisan foods, baked goods, honey, and prepared goods in a low-key setting that pairs naturally with a morning walk on the beach or brunch nearby. The 2025–26 season runs December 7, 2025 through May 3, 2026.

Equality Park After Dark — Wilton Manors
3rd Thursday of each month, 6pm–10pm. Free entry. Pets welcome.
A monthly evening market with a distinctly Wilton Manors personality. Food trucks, artisan vendors, vintage finds, and a social atmosphere that naturally spills into the bars and restaurants along Wilton Drive. LGBTQ+-welcoming and community-forward — this is the third Thursday giving the neighborhood a reliable recurring reason to gather. Ideal for a weeknight out if you're already in the area.

Fort Lauderdale ArtWalk — MASS District
4th or 5th Saturday of each month, 6pm–11pm. Free entry.
The monthly art walk that doubles as an artisan market. ArtWalk in the MASS District runs galleries, local artists, artisan food vendors, and live entertainment side by side on the same block where Sunny Side Up Market sets up on weekend mornings. It's a walking gallery visit with market energy — and one of the better free nights out in Fort Lauderdale for the creative crowd. Verify monthly dates at the ArtWalk site before going.
